How EPlumber works
For registered Plumbers
Once you have onboarded and been activated by our in-house Plumber Team, it’s easy to start earning with EPlumber!
Join our emergency messaging app to see live job alerts based on where you are or where you are going to be… and for a time that suits you.
Read the job details and accept the job – make sure you can complete the job and get to the customer on time!
Drive to the customers location as soon as possible for emergency call outs . Remember to take the tools and parts needed to get the job done.
Fix the customers plumbing issue, take a photo and get a signature. Payment is made within 7 working days into your account.
There is no requirement for a uniform when working as a driver through EPlumber. However, presenting a clean and professional appearance always gives a good impression.
Some jobs may require certain items of clothing such as:
- High viz vest
- Steel toe cap boots
Eplumber emergency plumbers earn on a time basis. Pay (upto £150 per hour!) is consistent, transparent and ranks significantly higher than our competitors.
Standard Emergency Rate: £125 first 45 minutes. £25 every 15 minutes there after.
Standard Advanced Rate: £100 first 45 minutes. £25 every 15 minutes there after.
This rate includes the cost of any standard repair materials used during the emergency plumbing job (i.e. fixings, pipes) and excludes non-standard repair materials (i.e. new parts / boiler) which shall be paid for by the customer once agreed.
All EPlumber plumbers choose how much work they want to undertake and, as such, are paid on a job-by-job basis. This means they work as freelancers rather than being employees of EPlumber, and, as such, will need to complete a tax return in respect of any earnings they receive from work they undertake for EPlumber. This can be done by registering with HMRC and can be completed online and is the responsibility of each individual plumber and not EPlumber.
We use STRIPE to pay all our plumbers. During the onboarding process you will need to provide us with your bank account details in order for us to pay you.
Payments are made to your bank account within 7 days of works being completed.
Public liability insurance trade cover up to £1m is mandatory for all registered Eplumber emergency plumbers. Public liability insurance costs from £5.50 per month and will protect you and your business from the cost of a third party making a claim against you for loss, damage, or injury. A third party could be a customer, a member of the public, or a fellow tradesperson working alongside you onsite. For example, following a job at a customer’s home, the homeowner calls to inform us there’s water pouring through the ceiling. Errors can be costly, especially when water damage is involved. Of course, with insurance, your business is protected from the heavy cost of potential claims.
